Story
Charities across the UK have been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.
WTM is no exception. Closing all of the theatres and the museum has already had a huge impact on WTM's income. WTM are doing everything they can to connect with and support the community, bringing arts, heritage and creativity to Worthing during this uncertain time.
The 2.6 Challenge is a nationwide fundraising event, with people of all ages setting themselves a challenge and raising money for charities and causes that are important to them. Team WTM are challenging themselves to walk, run or cycle 26.2 miles each - the distance of a marathon - over the course of a week and raise money to ensure that the arts and heritage in Worthing can continue to thrive!
By tackling a marathon each, the team will cover the distance from Worthing to our twinned town of Elztal in Germany. You can keep up with our progress on this page and on WTM's website. Please donate £2.6, £26 or whatever you can to support our challenge - and support WTM.
