We did it! On Friday 24th June, we teed it up on a glorious dawn morning to play 72 holes of golf in a day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.  The first 36 holes were a breeze with a light wind and the sun on our backs but it didn't stay that way.  Heavy rain accompanied us for the back nine holes of Round 3 but then the weather broke and the start of Round 4 looked promising.  The attached photos give a good indication of what followed - the storm which met us on the 7th hole was of biblical proportions!  The course quickly flooded but we ploughed on to complete the marathon in bright sunshine.  A big thank you to the team for displaying a stoical spirit and whom, despite the conditions, recorded 24 birdies over the 72 holes!  Please keep the donations coming - thank you.
