Qualia Care are becoming Yorkshire Warriors to help raise money for Contact the Elderly as this is the only national charity solely dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation.

Supported by volunteers, the charity organises monthly afternoon tea parties for small groups of elderly people over the age of 75, who live alone.  This offers a regular and vital friendship link each month.

Increasingly, research highlights the link between loneliness and ill-health in later life, including depression, certain heart conditions and even Alzheimer's disease.
