Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, i'm Nicky and together with my husband Terry and daughter Shannon we are fundraising in memory of our daughter Terri for our favourite charity "when you wish upon a star". Terri lost her courageous fight with a brain tumour in August 2010 after previously and sucessfully fighting leukaemia twice, the first time of which she was only 7 months old.On May 25th Terri should be celebrating her 21st birthday and we are determined to turn this negative into a positive and plan to celebrate by having a balloon race and turning the sky pink in her memory, at the same time we will be raising vital funds to enable the lovely ladies at the charity to continue their fantastic work of granting wishes for these wonderful children. unfortunatley some of these wishes  become priceless memories for families like us and we would like to repay the charity for their generosity and kindness by raising funds to enable other families who find themselves in the devestaing situation we were in to create these memories. If you wish to purchase a balloon please leave your name and email address with your donation so that we may contact you in the event that you may be the winner. The balloons will be released during a private party at the Hallmark hotel, Handforth Dean on the 25th May and the winner will be determined by the balloon that travels the furthes and who's tag is posted back to us by saturday August 10th 2013, there is a £50 prize for the poster of the winning balloon lable and the overall winner will recieve a £250 cash prize. This event is being covered by the Stockport Express and will appear in the 22nd of May issue.

update!!!!   After 12 months of some amazing  fundraising events, hard work and very generous donations we are so very proud to announce that our total figure raised is £30,204.53!!!!!!    we are totally overwhelmed by your generosity and would like to say a big "Thank-you" to our family and friends who have supported these events, together we are going to help create some amazing memories!                         

We have decide that although we wont be fundraising every month as we did last year, we would still like to do what we can where we can, we also have freinds and relatives who would like to fundraise in Terris memory so therefore we  are leaving this page open and will use it for future events! keep you posted !!
