Hi All,
CLICK is producing Polly Stenham's award winning "That Face" at The Etcetera Theatre, Camden on Sept 11 - 15th, 2012. It is a black comedy-drama about family dysfunction, and will be directed by Ashley Alymann.
Of course we'd love for you to come and see us in action, but if you can't we always nominate a charity so that you can still support us by donating the price of a ticket - or whatever you can afford.
For this show, we have chosen to support the "Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Society". One of our team was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma last summer (2011) which was a frightening time for all of us. He underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy, as well as two weeks of radiation therapy, and finally, in April 2012 we were told it was in remission. We are extremely grateful to the Oncology department, and also to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. It was their information, their ability to explain the treatment process, side effects, what to expect, what was "normal"/"abnormal" that allowed us to get a handle on what was going on and how best to deal with it; and of course, it is thanks to their incredible work that it was, in this case a "treatment" prognosis.
Leukamia and Lymphoma Research still continues in order to turn more blood cancers into "treatable" rather than just "manageable", and it is our hope that our experience of the cancer going into remission is one that many, many more people will also have.
Please do support the fight.
Thank you,
