Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’ Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity dedicated to making this happen.
The team from The Cambridge Building Society are organising a number of events to raise awareness and funds to support young cancer patients. These events include a dance-a-thon; a quiz, raffles; gift wrapping; cooking breakfast; dress-down days and my manager, Katy, will be cutting off her long hair and donating this to make a wig. Thank you in advance for your support; we really appreciate your help.
“We are delighted to be one of the chosen charities to receive support from The Cambridge Building Society, an organisation closely linked with the Cambridge community which will now be extending its charity work to help young people in the area who are diagnosed with cancer. The funds will help us continue our specialist services, which provide age-appropriate care to support those aged 13 – 24 going through cancer, helping them be a teenager first, cancer patient second" said Judith Anderson, East Anglia Regional Fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust.
