Story
Ali loved his beer, so Auton and Bristow are getting on their running gear!
We’ll run the Marathons, but we need YOU to help us get from Brighton to London by committing to 1 Mile of the journey virtually from wherever you are. All in memory of our friend and colleague 'Ali Barrel' Grant.
Run, walk, cycle, canoe or however you want to do the distance, solo or as a group, and help us fill the 54 miles!
Katrina herself is now facing her fear and jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet (2.84 miles) on the 12th August to help us get to our target - that definitely deserves you digging deep into your pockets and sponsoring her for this amazing effort via this page to! In her own words she plans to scream 'Ali' all the way down!!!
Email thealibarrelchallenge@gmail.com to let us know if you are also interested in getting involved or if you want any other information.
OR you can still support us from right there on your sofa to raise as much money as possible for MNDA, by donating as much as you can right here on Just Giving. No donation too big or too small.
Let's fill that barrel and get the barrel-o-meter overflowing!
In the words of Katrina (Ali's Wife)...
'MND is a terrifying disease to watch as it robs a loved one of their life. Ali was terrified of injections, but as soon as he was diagnosed he volunteered for a research project in Oxford, in the hope that a cure can be found to help future generations not go through what hundreds of families are coping with at this moment in time. People quite rightly say how fortunate we were that Ali died suddenly, and before he had totally lost the ability to move and speak and swallow…they are of course correct…but how much better if there had been a cure…and he could still be with us today.'
Thank you so much for your kind generosity
