To mark Stress Awareness Month this April, The Buzz team is taking on the challenge to walk (or run!) one million steps over 30 days for MIND, the mental health charity.
According to MIND, at least 1 in 6 workers have experienced mental health problems like anxiety and depression, with research showing that work is the biggest cause of stress in our lives.
At The Buzz, the wellbeing of everyone we work with is important to us. Our flexible approach to work is at the heart of what we do, and designed to encourage and facilitate a healthy work/life balance.
We know that keeping active is incredibly beneficial for managing stress and supporting mental wellbeing, so we've set this challenge to encourage our team, clients and friends to get away from the desk this April, and get moving.
All donations, however big or small, will go towards funding MIND services and programmes to support those in and out of the workplace. In addition, The Buzz has signed The Mental Health at Work Commitment - a public declaration to show that mental health at work is a priority, with a set of actions that we pledge to follow to improve and support the mental health of our team.
