*Please note that as we are giving you an anthology to raise money we are afraid you can not include Gift Aid in your donation.*
The Society of Young Publishers are creating a very special anthology of poetry.
We recently received a message on Facebook from Hannah Gilbert, whose brother Matthew was diagnosed with testicular cancer last autumn. He is 19 and sadly the cancer has spread to his lungs and brain and is now untreatable. He has made a bucket list of things that he would like to achieve and one of the items was to have his poetry published.
After speaking with Hannah and Matthew the SYP are delighted to announce that we will be publishing a short anthology of poetry from a range of male poets, including Matthew, to raise money and awareness of testicular cancer. Almost 43,000 men are diagnosed with a form of male-specific cancer each year in the UK and Everyman is an appeal of The Institute of Cancer Research to raise money for research into prostate and testicular cancers. All proceeds from the sale of the anthology will go to the Everyman charity.
The minimum donation for a copy of the anthology is £5 but please feel free to donate more.
Please firstname.lastname@example.org when you have donated with your full name and address so we can send you your copy of the anthology upon release and if you want multiple copies, ie. donate £10 and want two, please do specify.
The anthology will be released mid to late July 2013 but please follow #GilbertCollection and @SYP_UK to stay updated on progress.
