Afghan Connection

We fund education in Afghanistan to improve the lives of the community

Story

Update:

Thanks to an amazing effort we have reached the initial £10k target. So now I'm going to have to reset the target to £12.5k so we can continue to fund educational projects in Afghanistan with Afghan Connection for a further year.

To reward your support the fundraising efforts every donation of £10 and above will get a downloadable copy of the film and a electronic copy of the film poster.

Ongoing Target – £2,150 GBP per annum

We will then be aiming to generate over £2,000 GBP per year to maintain the ongoing education of 60 kids.

  1. £2150 will pay for 60 kids to go to school for a year. (£35 per child per year)

“100% of profits from this film are going to the charity Afghan Connection to support education and cricket in Afghanistan”

The story of the film originated from my first trip to Afghanistan in 2009. As a member of the first cricket team to tour Afghanistan and play the Afghanistan national side in Kabul. First hand I witnessed the positive nature of the Afghan people and the power of sport to bring change to a challenging part of the world. I knew immediately that after this trip I would return one day.

Afghan Connection played a pivotal role behind the scenes to enable the 2009 trip to occur. It was this connection along with the wonderful work they do in Afghanistan, both in education and cricket, that has inspired the charitable arm of The Great Game film project.

I fell in love with Afghanistan on my first visit. The second visit only strengthened those feelings. Once you get to know the real Afghanistan you will too.
