We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for the RNIB.

Some of you will know that in a moment of madness last Christmas I agreed to cycle with my brothers and dad from Lands end to John O'Groats.

So from the 25th August to 9th September this is exactly what we have planned.

I have been training now for the last 5 months to complete this challenge and travel the length of the UK 1,186 miles in 14 days of cycling.

We will be cycling 85 miles a day every day (try it, it hurts) to raise money for the RNIB a charity close to our hearts following my mothers diagnosis with Age Related Macular degenration which can lead to blind spots and near total blindness within as little as 2 weeks.

ARMD affects 20% of those aged between 65-75 and currently has no cure. This has had a profound impact on my mother who is a keen artist and extremely independant. And with the research and support from the RNIB we hope she will continue to be for many years to come.

So please donate what you can and help support me in this endeavour.

A penny a mile would be fantastic a pound a mile would be insane!

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
