Story
Starting on Monday 15th June 2020 I will be walking the Coast Path around Wales. It's a virtual challenge so we're not breaking any lockdown rules! It's 870 miles in total. My hope is to run as much of it as possible - but my fitness level needs to improve first. We (Dad and Rachel are doing this too but in their own crazy way!) are also raising money for the British Lung Foundation and you can donate to them via Andy's page or our Herricks and Woods Team page.
(A few people donated to this page when Dad and Rachel were going to walk the coast path from Aberdaron to Bangor. However, the Covid-19 lockdown meant that couldn't happen. So, we've edited this page to recognise those donations - and it means those people don't have to donate again unless they want to!).
This is why we're raising money for Home for Good - I was never going to adopt. If I couldn't have birth children then God clearly didn't want me to have children. How foolish I was. We are now 4 years in to the best decision we ever made. 2 beautiful children (both from different birth families) are ours - irrevocably and forever. What a glorious thing it is.
We want to see more children being placed in families - more families being created, added to and completed through adoption (and fostering), more children being given the chance to thrive.
Home for Good - Our vision is a home for every child who needs one. We know that for children in care, it’s crucial to find the right placement at the right time - whether that’s a short-term foster placement in an emergency, a long-term foster placement or a new adoptive family. Currently, this isn’t always possible: there is an urgent need for thousands of foster families, and thousands more children are waiting for adoption. Home for Good exists to help make sure every child can have a stable, loving home where they can thrive.
