Having had both my grandmothers already go through breast cancer I never expected my mother 'so young' to get the diagnosis as well. Within weeks of a finding a lump we are already one breast down under the amazing care given by the East Kent Hospitals Cancer Team. 

While my mum currently recovers from her operation I have decided to put myself under a different kind of pain!! If you know me even a little bit you will know I row and if you are unfortunate enough to know the sport you know it hurts, especially if you decide to undertake a marathon a day for 7 days (plus 6km extra to make a nice round number). I can't personally take away any pain that my mum has already gone through or will go through with the treatment to come but I hope by doing this I can bring something positive to other families in the future. 

Not to sound too soppy but my mum is an incredible women whom is so selfless and has been a rock not only to my brother and I but to countless friends, so I'd love if we could all give back. 

This will take part at Westbere lake on the 2nd to the 8th of September 2019  under the keen supervision of my brother and father and of course Mr Williamson.
