Tim and Jamie are walking around the Llyn over a week from Monday 23 July until Sunday 30th. Please look at the itinerary and come and walk with us or donate to assign Vasculitis to Room 101.

The walk and all funds raised are a memorial to Lydia who fell victim to Vasculitis in December 2014 and tragically died of a brain haemorrhage in April 2015.

Monday...Trek blog 1

First day done. Great company from Ceri, Cath, Ross and the Jellis tribe. Thanks a million.  The Super Troupers.met at Caernarfon Castle hoping sponsors will Gimme, Gimme, Gimme lots of Money, Money, Money and Knowing Me, Knowing You, aha, you will. The Name of the Game was a 101 mile walk, so lots of Waterloo stops and hopefully no cries of SOS. Lunch at Dinas Dinlle Cafe which I.do, I do, Ido recommend, though you might need to Ring Ring for a reservation. Finished at Clynnog Fawr. Home for a Chiquitikka with rice. Tomorrow on to Nefyn. Mama Mia, here I go again..

Tuesday.  Trek blog 2

Yesterday, all my tiredness seemed so far away, now it looks as though it’s here to stay...Just JT, Arthur the Bear and me today on The Long and Winding Road to Nefyn. Something said Don’t Let Me Down, it’s for charity, but it was steep at times and I felt like shouting I wanna Hold Your Hand. Route finding was interesting but We Can Work It Out and I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends...and a phone app. The views were superb, particularly at Trefor, Port Gwrtheyrn and Nefyn so Let it Be, Another Day in My Life. 28 down, 73 to go.

Wednesday.  Trek blog 3

Another One Bites the Dust. My brain says Don’t Stop Me Now, but my legs aren’t so sure. Under Pressure to complete the 101 miles, we are almost half way there. Good company today from Ross, Bicycle Race and Dandango, very, very frightening. JT and I are both feeling tired, but Tha Show Must Go On. Tomorrow will Flash by as we head for Aberdaron. Thanks to all who have donated, supported and walked with us. Friends will Be Friends but we really appreciate you.

Thursday.   Trek blog 4

Round the bend at Aberdaron and on the home straight! Amazing four days so Don’t Look Back in Anger at Yr Eifl and Do You Know What I Mean Whatever happens we’ll make it. Some Might Say we’re mad but please Stand By Me as nobody can Live Forever so donate to Vasculitis UK. At times it feels like we’re walking All Around The World but actually there are only 47 miles to go. A huge thanks to Catrin and Kitch for walking with us today. It really helped. I’m Outta Time now so off to bed before What’s The Story, Morning Glory. IWonderwallhappen?

Friday.    Trek Blog 5

Day 5 done and I’m Still Standing, but only just! Twenty miles today and it rained, what a Sacrifice. I’d said Don’t Let the Sun Down On Me, but it did! Just JT and me today, no Daniel unfortunately. One wrong turn and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. We climbed lots of Crocodile Rock, saw Skyline Pigeons, sang Sad Songs and waited for a Rocket Man to take us to Abersoch. In The Circle of Life, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, not to Nikita money, but donate your’s. Saturday tomorrow but too tired For Fighting.

Saturday  Trek Blog 6

Day 6. Abersoch to Criccieth...another 21 miler with The Scientist, Ruth, David, Lesley, Eleri, Sue, George and Izzy. Thanks a million, You’re A Sky Full of Stars. We travelled at the Speed Of Sound across Yellow sand with The Hardest Part being the Up and Up path to Llanbedrog. With A Head Full Of Dreams we reached the Paradise Of Pwllheli without getting Lost once. It has been The Adventure Of A Lifetime with A Head Full Of Dreams, though I think my legs will have an Everglow. Finally reached Criccieth where Every Teardrop Was A Waterfall. Last day’s last day tomorrow. Stop the Clocks because In My Place you will need an osteopath to Fix You.

Sunday   Trek blog 7

Day 7 and trek completed. All 101 miles done, though actually it was 110 and more than 220,000 steps. It was A Long And Winding Road, but Jamie said Llyn On Me and You’ll Never Walk Alone. I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, but I’m knackered after 110! These Boots Were Made For Walking, but not in the rain. I got blisters. It was definitely best when we were Walking On Sunshine. Thanks to all those who walked, came to Portmeirion to grab some glory or donated. Let’s hope and pray that Vasculitis really can be one day assigned to Room 101, along with Pogo, my walking pole. Huge flipper thanks to Turtleman and Arthur who never got tired or complained ( Arthur that is!)Keeeeep giving....

JT wrote this and is really proud of it. It is dedicated to his favourite English teacher...
