Event: Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2017, from 9 September 2017 to 17 September 2017
We raise funds for The National Hospital to improve the lives of neurology patients

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

From the 9th of September to the 17th, we will be taking on
Britain’s world famous long distance cycle challenge – “Lands End to John O’Groats”. The challenge will see us riding 969 miles from the most South Westerly point of the UK in Cornwall to the most North Easterly tip in Scotland. We will ride an average of 108 miles a day and climb approximately 50,000ft in total over the 9 days. That is around 13 times up Alpe d’Huez or almost twice the height of Everest!

We have always seen this challenge as a great opportunity to raise money for our favourite charities however, in recent weeks, this goal has become all the more important to us.

We will now be riding to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, the fundraising arm of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), London. Our choice is in honour of Tim's beloved father Danny, himself a keen cyclist and Ring of Kerry veteran, who recently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Our family have seen first hand the fantastic work the NHNN do and this is our very small way of saying 'thank you', and giving something back.

We would be so grateful if you could join us in supporting this wonderful charity and leaving any donation that you can here.

Many, many thanks, and we promise to keep you posted from the route!
