This is all about me raising Money for the Dyspraxia Foundation and to get me fit and healthy I am doing two things at once.

From the age of 5 I found out I had Dyspraxia My parents were told that I had many Challenges ahead. It is a lifelong condition which can affect me both mentally and Physically. For Example they affect my short term memory, receiving instructions and fine and gross motor Skills but each person with the condition is different. The First few years were tough spent many afternoons with a physio and an OT building up my muscles up to learn to walk and do basic things like get dressed on my own and tie my own shoe laces ( This took a long Time)  they were great not only did they help me to grow and develop they gave me a confidence boost. I went one afternoon a week during school time while I was at Primary School.

Secondary School was different I did not have many Friends at all this is where the tasks became harder for me to do. This is where I also realised I was not academic but it did not stop me. I went to college and spent 3 years and managed to get to Uni and graduate.

This is also about giving something back as well I've  only known people from the foundation the last few months through going to events and since joining the Facebook Youth Group it has given me more confidence and chat to people on there who are now my friends. I was delighted when I found out I was one of the first three Youth Champions. This give us opportunity to raise awareness and attend meetings about the future of the charity and go to important Meetings.

It is time to give something back to them and inspire the next generation of dyspraxics that they can achieve anything. With this small charity that is run by volunteers doing a lot of work to support people around the UK with Dyspraxia. This condition is not recognized very well to many Professionals in the UK. the Charity do a number number things to help such as distribute Leaflets annually every year, Run a Helpline. They run lots of support groups with annual events and workshops for the Dyspraxia Foundation Youth which is awesome to be a part of.  The charity is 30 years this old this year they are running a 30th Anniversary Appeal. I am hoping to raise money to the final Total which able for them to keep going and help continue their awesome work for people like me.  All donations every year are given by the public to keep the Charity going.

This is my First ever 10k so it's going to be tough but with the right training and advice I hope to do well.  The other people in the foundation will keep me motivated to run past all the different landmarks and cross the finish line together
