Story

Hi Everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for The Tinkerbell Ball 2014 and for taking the time to donate to this wonderful and worthy cause.

Due to the ongoing rising success the annual ball, The 7th annual Tinkerbell ball is being held at The Grand Hotel in Lytham St Annes on Saturday November 22nd.

We have introduced #Glamyourman this year! Ladies get the chance to add a little lipstick, blusher and eyeshadow to their man before snapping a picture of them and posting it to Facebook and then donating an amount of their choice to Brian House via this Just Giving page! So, well done and congratulations if you have taken part in #Glamyourman!

We also have another exciting event happening which is helping raise awareness and money for Brian House!
Mark is a father to 4 boys and spends whatever spare time he can find running. With the support of his very understanding wife he continues to push to new physical and mental horizons. In 2011, he completed the Ironman Triathlon (2.4 mile swim,  112 mile bike and a marathon), when he commenced training for this, he couldn't swim a length of the pool, had never ridden further than 10 miles on a bike and had not run more than the length of a rugby field for 5 years! He is testament to the statement that 'I do today what others won't so tomorrow I can do what others can't!' Following a bike accident in 2012 he is confined to running which he doesn't take lightly. In the last few years he has been competing in Ultramarathons, travelling up to 131 miles in a single race.
For Mark and his family, having a child with cancer is all too real and as such they are supporters of childhood cancer charities and services which support children and their families through this unimaginably difficult challenge, like Brian House. His latest challenge for Brian House will take place on a treadmill (something he has not run on since 2006, when he last went to a gym) and he will attempt to see what distance he can cover in 12 hours, 8am to 8pm. It will take place under world record conditions for assurance!

If you made a guess at the mileage Mark will cover in this time, congratulations and good luck! And thank you so much for your kind donation!! Please cheer Mark along, this will be a wonderful achievement!
