#WearAHatDay, on 28th March, is an awareness raising campaign, March is National Brain Tumour Awareness Month.
On #WearAHatDay a troop of mummies, toddlers, preschoolers and babies will be doning hats and going on a mile longwalk/ride stroll in Biggleswade, ending in the square. If you want to take part too please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our walk is to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. The research is woefully underfunded, with less than 1% of the national government spending on cancer research being channelled towards brain tumours.
You never think something like this will happen to you and your family, you hope that it won't. But sometimes it does. We want to help make sure there is hope for families that are affected by brain tumours.
How does the money raised get used for research? 100% of our funds are granted to support long-term, sustainable and continuous research at our Centres of Excellence.
