As some of you may know, my grandad was diagnosed in September 2016 with Mesothelioma - a rare cancer caused by exposure to asbestos at work. The average life expectancy for this type of cancer is around 12 months from diagnosis. Sadly, my grandad died after only five months. 

I would like to raise awareness of this type of cancer and fundraise for the charity Mesothelioma UK who provide lots of help and support to families when they are faced with this horrible disease. 

I decided to do a sponsored head shave to raise money for Mesothelioma UK and I have been growing my hair so that I can donate it to make a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to cancer.
