Story
In May, 4 riders, combining Dutch, English, Polish and Welsh themes, will cycle c1,200 miles / c2,000 km from the southern tip of England (Land’s End) to the northern tip of Scotland (John o’Groats). The team of riders, Rob Child, Gerard and Tony Pinnell and David Toonen are, supported by Mick Mills, who builds bikes in his spare time.
The 2022 challenge was arranged by Rob Child, in memory of his youngest son Tom Child, who was first diagnosed with cancer age 8 and after 10 good years lost his final battle with cancer at age 20.
All money raised will go to the UK Teenage Cancer Trust, who were an enormous support to Tom and the family, throughout his illness. The Trust relies entirely on sponsorship, donations and events to raise funds to continue their vital work. At www.tjc14.com the goal is that young people with cancer receive the same care and support as Tom received from Teenage Cancer Trust and can access the amazing facilities they provide.
You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Every donation, whatever the size, takes us closer to our goal and we welcome your support.
