Now, people who know me will realize that running is not my thing!  In fact, at this moment in time running a bath seems daunting!  This year I have been to the funerals of four people lost to cancer, three of whom were cared for by the amazing staff at St Peter's Hospice, Bristol.  The last one hit me harder than you can imagine, with my idol and Dad passing after a short, but determined battle with cancer in August.  

I don't get the point of running, never have, unless it is chasing a ball. However, this isn't about me suddenly getting a newfound love for a sport I have, and will always hate!  It is though about me taking on a challenge, that in the past would have seemed impossible, in order to raise money for an amazing institution, so that other people can be cared for like Dad was.

Of course the bonus of this training will hopefully be a fitter and healthier me for 2018, but that's not why I am doing it. I would be very grateful if you could dig deep and give generously in memory of my mate, and all those affected by this horrible disease. I promise I won't let you down!
