Story
Tommy and Jess have decided to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this April, in support of their Seward School house's chosen charity the Midlands Air Ambulance at The Friary School in Lichfield. Jessica is also taking on this challenge as part of her Character award this year focusing on resilience.
Both children regularly walk in the Peak District in places such as Kinder Scout, Mam Tor and The Roaches and even Mount Snowden. The furthest they have walked to date is 15 miles.
This challenge will see them cover 24 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing. Starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, they will take on the highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m)
Despite the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, demand for our rapid response pre-hospital service has not faltered.Sadly, as a charity we have had to change our fundraising activities dramatically as we have had to temporarily close our charity shops, and are unable to host or attend events to fund our crucially important missions. We are therefore asking you to contribute to our online bucket collection to help raise the money vitally needed to enable us to rapidly reach and treat up to ten people in critical need of our services every day. Can you help make our next Mission Possible?Dont forget to tell friends and family you have made a donation, and shout about it on social media if you are online. Please donate what you can.
