The Space Centre is on our doorstep and behind those doors is a world where children and adults with disabilities can go to relax, to have fun and be in an environment that is safe enough for them to challenge themselves and explore things in a way they couldn't at home.

There are now 3 amazing sensory rooms, two large ones and one smaller more intimate one for those who need that security.  The centre can be used by anyone with physical, emotional and learning difficulties, regardless of their age or ability.  There are no other centres like this in the country, they even house the UK's largest bubble tube!  So we need to support The Space Centre to make sure that they can continue to offer these vital facilities to our community.

As an organisation we approached The Space Centre to see how we could help.  We are looking into ways to support the Family Sessions and other projects they are now creating.  However, we were offered the chance to take part in the Charity Dragon Boat Race is a great opportunity for our employees to get involved with this local cause. 

So, on Saturday 1st August 2015 a team of our employees and colleagues will compete against others at Preston Marina to be crowned The Charity Dragon Boat Champions.  We will be rowing with all our might as we take on other teams in the knock out stages.  It will be a gruelling challenge but we know that every penny we raise will go towards helping The Space Centre to create happiness for those with disabilities.
