We want to make a difference. 

Last year a team from King's Church ran the Tough Mudder Half in aid of the work done by Caring Hands - a homeless day centre, one of two charities run by our church. 

This year we are upping the stakes and running the full Tough Mudder - 12 miles of muddy tracks and over 20 gruelling obstacles. We're raising money in support of the work done by Light the Way. 

At Light the Way, teams of self-funded volunteers travel across the globe to help communities in need by installing solar powered systems. Examples include a solar powered water pump to deliver clean water to an orphanage in India, or a solar lighting system at a girl's refuge in Guyana.

Later this year a team are travelling to Uganda to help out a community there. Part of the work they do will be in distributing 100 solar powered lanterns to local families to enable children to be able to study at night, something we take for granted.

Solar panels and the systems that accompany them are far beyond what a rural third-world community could ever afford, but with the money raised, we aim to enable the purchase of the solar equipment to be used in future mission trips. 

So please, give as generously as you can because anything you can spare will make a real, long-term difference to so many.
