Story

I thought I'd just put a paragraph from the original just giving page set up by Great Ormond Street to shine a bit of light on Tyler's story

Tyler was unfairly taken from us far too soon. He passed away from Group A Streptococcus, which usually causes things like tonsillitis or ear infection. Tyler was just so unlucky that it was an invasive strain and gave him septicaemia. Within the few hours Tyler was in their care, the team at Great Ormond Street did an amazing job and tried everything they could to keep his little heart beating. Despite their very best efforts, Tyler sadly left us on November 6th. We hope people will donate, in memory of Tyler, to help other children and families who may be or have been through a similar experience and to continue to support the fantastic work of the team at Great Ormond Street.

So far the page set up for Tyler has raised over £7000 showing just how much of an impact his short life of nearly 3 years impacted so many people and how so many of us no matter how long we knew him for still miss his cheeky face. We aren't doing this run to try and make ourselves look better or to feel better about ourselves we just want to show support to all those affected and raise money to help other families going through similar difficult circumstances.

Please donate as generously as you can, we haven't set a high target but one we hope we can achieve because as we said it isn't about the money for us or feeling good for raising quite a lot it's just to show our support and hopefully help families who will be in similar situations in the future. Thank you.
