Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The famous Tour de Lauder is without doubt one of the monuments of the cycling calendar, a one day classic right up there with Milan San Remo and Paris Roubaix!

Starting and ending in the borders town of Lauder this route has something for everyone and tackles some of the biggest climbs in Berwickshire. A lung busting 86 or 50 miles from start to finish which ends on the infamous Col de Stow, where many a reputation and career has been cruelly cut short.

Tour de Lauder is a cycling event that raises money for the Steve Cully Tribute Fund, which was set up by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland on his wife Rosie's wishes, in memory of Steve, a Lauder resident and keen cyclist. All donations much appreciated.

Everyone involved gives their time, expertise and effort for free and every single penny raised, other than very minimal expenses incurred for running the event, goes to the charity.

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland improves the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, through medical research, influencing public policy, advice and information and support in the community.

* Every minute of every day 100,000 people in Scotland struggle to breathe because of chronic chest illness.
* Every half hour someone in Scotland will have a heart attack.
* Every 45 minutes someone in Scotland will have a stroke.

All funds raised in Scotland stay in Scotland.
