UPDATE - 22nd August 2021
6 weeks to go and now it is feeling real
Tried my proper shoes today, boy my feet hurt so may revert to my walking boots on the day
Hamstring is aching but it is bearable so no worries there.
I just need to improve my time in the next few weeks π©

UPDATE - 14th August 2021
Oh my goodness, a whole year has gone by.
I have been struggling with motivating myself and now I have 7 weeks to get myself prepared physically and mentally.
Now more than ever Dorset Mind is incredibly important as any one of us may need their amazing support at some point so we need to keep raising funds and help them to continue in the fantastic work they do.

April 2020 - postponed due to Covid
Oct 2020 - cancelled due to Covid

Not a good week for training as I seem to have injured my ankle.
Struggling with self discipline with all the reports regarding possible postponement of large sporting events. I really donβt want to wait another year but if I have to I will!!

Finally I have done some running. I have been a bit cautious with my dodgy lung but itβs my shins that are suffering.

Training has been a bit hit and miss due to work commitments but next week I need to smash it!!

15 weeks to go
5 x at the gym this week. Hard work but I am very proud of myself.
I have a very long way to go still.
P.S Juliet did approve of my running shoes but will not approve of my headband π
