Story
Looking forward to Sunday, September 13th 2020
Over the years since I started doing this walk it has been a personal challenge, a gauge of my fitness and durability. I have a sedentary occupation and I am unfit but if I can do the Transochilator each year I reason there is still some hope for this old lump!
I believe it is not a matter of “if” there is a cure for MND but “when”; it is all about getting funding to the problem and a cure will come. If we have the power to stop this dreadful disease we should exercise that power now.
I was unable to do the walk in 2019 and 2020 because of road closures and it is my plan to change to a different challenge in 2021. 2018 may have been the last one on this route but there will be others elsewhere. I hope that you will donate something to the campaign, either directly to the foundation or by sponsoring me through my JustGiving page. Please, anything will help, however little you can spare.
Better yet, join me - make it a team effort and raise funds yourself; the more the merrier.
Usually the weather is kind but, of course, we cannot bank on perfect conditions so you would need to dress for all possibilities. If you decide to come, please buy something from the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation branded merchandise shops to wear on the day. Funds from purchases go to the charity; it all helps and pictures will be taken on the day.

I must stress that this is not an “organised” event, so there is no marshalling or support; it is just a bunch of people going for a walk.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you want to join in on the day or want to find out more about the route, please check at the link below nearer the time:
