July 2019 marks 10 years since I said goodbye to my much loved and missed friend, Jen. In her memory and in an attempt to follow her love of travel and adventure, I’m taking on the height of Kilimanjaro - the world's tallest, free standing mountain. 

I’ll be hiking for 6 days to summit the mountain before a quick 2 day hike back to base. I’ll be ascending to a height of just under 6000m - higher than Everest base camp. I have no idea how the altitude will affect me but I will be doing all I can to make sure I have every chance of reaching the top.
