On September 12, 2020, I'll set out on foot to explore the highlights of Wiltshire, England, home to the famous stone circle of Stonehenge. I’ll be walking in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors, covering rolling hills and woodland through a landscape that has barely changed in 5000 years.
I'm taking on this 26-mile challenge surrounded by people who are trekking for loved ones and raising money, so together we can find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease.
This cause is especially close to my heart, and while I may have signed up to honor my Dad, I've also signed up to honor yours.
Father. Mother. Sister. Brother. Uncle. Friend. Most of us know someone. It's estimated that there are approximately 44 million people worldwide living with Alzheimer's (or a related form of dementia). In Canada, there are over 1.1 million people affected directly or indirectly by the disease.
By supporting my trek you are powering life-changing research and helping people affected by the disease.
Wish me luck on my Stonehenge adventure!
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page and reading my story.
I'm trekking 26 miles through South West England for Alzheimer's Society because I want to stop dementia in its tracks.
