We all have people, that were or are precious to us, that have been affected by cancer or have lost their fight against it.  Grandparents and Uncles of mine were taken away too soon by cancer.  More recently, my Mum and some friends have been affected... at far too young an age!  I want to raise just a bit of cash towards medical research that will help them and others in the future, receiving cancer treatment!

I had hoped to run the 5K of Race for Life and had written a small essay on my loathing of running and why I was going to run anyway.  But dodgy knees, a sprained ankle, a chest infection and a bad dose of strep throat has laid to rest any attempts to train.  However... I will still be taking part and will probably walk most of it, possibly interspersed with an odd burst of my ungraceful attempt at a jog.  To compensate for not running I plan to wear an embarrassing amount of OTT pink stuff for your photographic pleasure!  So please give a few of your pennies to raise money for this fantastic cause.  So many people I care about (or cared about) have been affected by cancer - I hope by walking 5K, dressed in silly pink stuff, I can do my bit to raise just a little bit more towards finding better treatments and cures.
