The Salvation Army - We provide unconditional friendship, support and practical help to people in crisis and in need

Story

The Salvation Army has been worshipping and working in Wood Green for over 135 years.  During that time, The Salvation Army church (what we call a 'corps') in Wood Green has always reached out to its local community, trying to provide support and care to those most in need.  This community work has taken many forms over the years, but in this unprecedented time of need, we have adapted our work so that we assisting those living in our community who are in most need.

Our Sally Anne's Store Cupboard is assisting families in need referred from specialist agencies on a weekly basis.  We help them with non-perishable food and children's clothing and baby items.

Many of these families are on extremely low incomes or have no income at all and so have nowhere else to turn.

We use your donations to fund purchase of food, toiletries and nappies for our store.

Without your support and the support of our members and friends in the community, The Salvation Army in Wood Green couldn't do any of this and so we are immensely grateful for anything that you can give, because it enables us to continue this vital work of providing for those in need.

If you want to help us to support those in our community who are struggling to provide the basics for their family, please donate on this page by clicking on the 'Give Now' button and following the instructions.  If you prefer, you can use our QR code, which you'll find in the picture gallery at the top.  However, if you'd rather donate money in person, please email us at wood.green@salvationarmy.org.uk for details.

On behalf of those who really need your support, please give what you can.  And for whatever you are able to give - we thank you!

With your help, we hope we can make 2023 a better year for many more needy families.
