On the 8th of April 2019, my family and I will be trekking over to India to do something a little crazy, to put it lightly! Over two and a half weeks we are driving two 7 horsepower Tuk-Tuks, (more likened to cake tins on wheels) the length of India. Around 2,700 km from the deserts of Jaisalmer in the North of India to the finish line in the South in Kochi. More details of just how completely mad this really is can be found at www.theadventurists.com
We’re raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance, a charity close to our hearts. Cornwall Air Ambulance flies more than 800 lifesaving missions each year all over Cornwall, where many people in need can be far from help and when you are seriously injured, minutes matter.
In November 2005, my dad was involved in a side-on collision outside our house leaving him seriously injured. I don’t remember much about that day but I do remember the pain it brought to my family and watching my mum put on a brave face everyday for us. Cornwall Air Ambulance responded in a matter of minutes and landed in our garden and airlifted him to safety. Luckily, my dad was able to come home after a few weeks in time to spend Christmas with us. As he says to this day; they saved his life.
We want to raise as much money as possible for Cornwall Air Ambulance so they can continue doing the amazing work they do in keeping families together. Any donations you can give will be greatly appreciated and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on our crazy adventure!
