Story

On Friday 23rd March this year, Colin, Callum, Jason, Marc and Steven shall travel to northern Finland to ski tour over very remote wilderness in the Arctic Circle. They shall cover up to 20 km a day, pulling a pulk (sled) and ruck sack of all their equipment for the journey in temperatures up to -30 degrees centigrade, whilst sleeping in snow shelters or wilderness cabins overnight.

We will be raising funds for Nicola Murray Foundation and Finlay's Friends, with all of the funds being split between the two charities.

Nicola Murray Foundation is a registered charity which was set up in memory of Nicola Murray, who sadly died on 28th April 2010, only 4 months after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. All monies raised funds research by Edinburgh University in to ovarian cancer at the Nicola Murray Centre based in Edinburgh.

Finlay’s Friends is a registered charity set up in memory of Finlay Bennett, of Destination Judo’s Dunfermline class and Touch Primary School, who died suddenly on the 30th July 2014 from Meningitis at the Yorkhill Children’s Hospital. The charity provides Comfort Kits to families of seriously ill children admitted to hospital in an emergency.
