Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Hi! Firstly, thanks for visitng my page. Now you are here, I guess it's time to explain what this is all about.

3 years ago myself and my friend embarked upon our first marathon after an evening on the hops based beverages. Now, a few years older and wiser I have decided to move things up a notch.

In September 2011, I turn the ripe old age of 30. This landmark has made me reflect on who I am, where I've come from and the good and bad times. A few thoughts have been bouncing around in my head for a while, and finally, they formed something I could get a handle on, and so my idea was born!

The basic premise is to run to every place I have lived in my life in five days. The route is calculated and covers 200 miles through 7 counties including Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. I will visit places I have lived, places that were landmarks in my life, and will hopefully have an occassional friend running with me for a few miles to keep me going!

This challenge will undoubtedly be the hardest physical and mental test of my life, but I am hoping to find out a few things about myself, relive great memories while discarding bad ones and regrets.

I have decided to run for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, and as many of you will know, my Dad passed away from this 5 years ago. Obviously this is close to my heart, and having raised money for them previously, I really want to help them out further as they work tirelessly battling this terrible disease and do not recieve the funding and recognition it really deserves. http://www.pcrf.org.uk/

Supporting me will be two good deeds for the price of one; raising much needed funds as well as getting me fitter! You can't say no to that surely!

I need your support. We need your support.

Together we can do something amazing; so as I tie up my laces, you dig deep and we might just help prevent a few avoidable tears.

Thank you for your time.

Now let's go destroy my knees and sanity!
