We provide support services and work to reduce the number of baby deaths
Story
Something a little different now.
Unit Updates will be covering the Fonacab St Paul's Ulster Minor Football Tournament Final on New Year's Day between Wolfe Tones Bellaghy and Crossmaglen Rangers - set to be a cracking game!
Instead of having the coverage for this game sponsored, we'll instead use it as an opportunity to raise awareness and some money for a worthy charity.
Hopefully this will become a regular occurrence, but our first chosen charity is Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society), a charity that many will know is close to home for myself.
My wife and I lost our first daughter Fionnuala two years ago in mid-December. It's something I've written about at length before and you can read it on this link - https://ismiseliam.blogspot.com/2017/03/a-bereaved-father-our-story.html
Sands have been outstanding in helping us and countless other bereaved parents.
So, if you have a spare few pounds knocking around, you can send it their way by clicking on this link!
Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.
