Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My story starts on the 4th of Jan 2017 @ 9am. Having never shown any signs of heart problems I suddenly felt a massive pain in my chest, turned grey in colour and suffered numbness down both arms. Turns out I had a blood clot that wedged its self in my heart. As luck would have it I was 2 miles from the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. I phoned for an ambulance and with in 2 hours of picking up the phone I was out of surgery. Thanks to our amazing NHS we have in this country.
After 12 weeks rehab I got a clean bill of health from my consultant. It turns out I have no heart damage. Very lucky boy.
I have chosen to run the London Marathon on behalf of the British Heart Foundation. I currently attend panel meetings with BHF on a voluntary basis so I know at close hand what an amazing organisation they are. The advice and support they give for people with heart conditions is invaluable.
