Story

"We make a LIVING by what we GET, But we make a LIFE by what we GIVE"

Here is a short summary of the reasons behind my fundraising.

I am very grateful to live in a country where;

- Equality is celebrated and the individual citizen is able to live their life with the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

- The medical and sanitation systems implemented are of a high standard and ensure the health of the citizen is at its optimum at all times.

- People with disabilities or special needs are not isolated and are integrated and feel part of society.

- Education is accessible to all.

and the list could go on...

So how is all this relevant?

Well, not all people are lucky enough to live in a society which is so accepting and full of opportunities. I have felt the need to do my part in improving the live's of such people for many years. Having to balance a life with university, fitness and work has brought its difficulties.

But, i have finally been given the opportunity to go abroad to Nandi County, Kenya for 3 months from June to August and do my part in improving the lives of others in a country less fortunate than the one that i grew up in.

I will do this by improving awareness of sanitation and disease by ensuring people are aware of how to minimise the risks of spreading minor illnesses such as colds to major infections such as HIV.

Also, a major aspect is to empower persons with disabilities  in the community and ultimately enhancing integration, inclusion and support of persons with disabilities in education and social-economic development.

I will essentially act as a as facilitator for social inclusion and social accountability. If you would love to hear more, feel free to contact me!

I would very much appreciate any assistance to get me to my £800 target! No donation is too little!

I would love to personally ensure that the less fortunate are receiving aid from people like us! Feel free to share! Thank You!

 "GIVING is not just about making a DONATION, it's about making a DIFFERENCE."
