Lost Property is a song that recounts the most painful journey of my life thus far. My son, Nicolas was taken away from me by his mother in 2006 and left in . I was lead to believe he was to be taken on holiday. Shortly after Nicolas left with his mother, she returned to the without him. When I had discovered what had been done, I was distraught. The bottom of my world fell out from underneath me. I feared I would never see my son again.

However, I was put in contact with Reunite International. I spoke often to one of their advisors. Her experience and advice was invaluable and extremely helpful. There were many twists and turns to my journey, but over a year and a half later, I was able to hug my son at home in the in 2008. Now, both my son and I enjoy our time together very much. This is thanks in huge part to Reunite International and the specialist purpose it serves.

My story has a happy ending, but some parents aren’t as fortunate as I was. My heart goes out to each and every one of them. Reunite International helped me and I am so thankful for that.
