Welcome to walk for ME 2020!

We as a family are massively affected by this debilitating illness with all my 3 children (2 grown up) plus myself suffering on a daily basis with pain, fatigue, over sensitization amongst many other symptoms. We plan to join in with the national walk for ME in our small town of callington on May 10th at 2pm please join us to raise awareness and much needed funds for ME research!

Fancy a walk? How about joining us on the 10th of May for 'walk for ME' at 2pm. We'll be walking from the Bulls Head in Callington to the Swingletree in Kelly Bray and back again, ending in the Bulls Head to raise awareness and funds for ME research UK.
If you can't walk with us, then please support us in another way, either just meet us along the route or you could sponsor us.
There's several ways to sponsor ME research 'walk for ME 2020'... Either via this just giving link online, there are collection tins located in Short Circuit Callington, Street Culture, The Bull's Head, Swingletree, Borringdon hall . We also have paper sponsor forms if you'd like to raise money that way - collection from Short Circuit Callington. We'll also have the Walk for ME paper signs to pin onto your clothing if you want them which are also available for collection from Kieron at Short Circuit.

 ...The idea behind Walk for ME is that friends and family of an ME sufferer do a sponsored walk on their behalf, hence the name Walk for ME or Walk for me. Although in recent years people have also done runs, swims and rides so you can do any event you wish!It is hoped that as many friends and loved ones as possible will do a sponsored walk or other event during ME Awareness month which is in May although you can also do a walk at any other time if you prefer!Walk for ME has had walkers across England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the Isle of Man, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and both coasts of America. Wherever you are we hope you will get involved!We hope this will be a fun but poignant event. Family and friends can choose to walk any distance. It could be 1 mile, 5 miles, 10 miles or whatever feels appropriate. The whole idea is that the friend or family member is doing something that their loved one would love to be able to do but can't. We really hope that by doing this on their behalf and raising sponsorship money it will help raise awareness of this debilitating illness.Walk for ME 2020 is again supporting Invest in ME Research and ME Research UK.
