Story
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.
In the run-up to Christmas this year a team of volunteers from Warburg Pincus will be giving a morning of their time to support the work of The West London Day Centre (WLDC). We hope that you will be able to add to this support by making a donation to the charity through this page.
Latest statistics show that every year, around 7,500 people sleep rough on the streets of London. People come from every walk of life and themselves sleeping on the street because they are facing a major crisis that means they’ve ended up with nowhere else to stay.
The WLDC gives support to around 100 rough sleepers in the Westminster area every day. It runs a drop-in service from Monday-Friday every morning, offering breakfast, showers, clothing, laundry facilities and healthcare for those who find themselves to be in the desperate situation of having no place to live, or sleep, other than the streets of London. I hope that this Christmas you may feel able to support the important work that the WLDC do.
No matter how great or small, your donation will help the charity to continue doing its important work, and help it develop further services to provide on-going individual and group support each afternoon through their advice and recreational services.
We hope that you can contribute with generosity, and that all of us at Warburg Pincus can, together, make a real difference to those who really need a helping hand this Christmas.
