We raise money and awareness to support all who have a bleeding disorder

Story

This is Ella. When she was just three weeks old she was diagnosed with a rare and severe bleeding disorder, Type 3 von Willebrand Disease.
What this means is that when she gets a bleed she needs help to get it to stop. She is so prone to bleeds that the first time she got a cold, at five months old, she got a runny nose that ended up bleeding for more than 13 hours before a trip to A&E and an infusion stopped it.
Life is not going to be straightforward for Ella as she grows up, just like other people with different forms of haemophilia. So we want to do our bit to raise money for people with bleeding disorders.
Ella's treatment is overseen by wonderful people at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, so as runners we naturally came up with the idea to run from one hospital to the other.
The plan is to start the run on Friday, May 14th - which will be three years since she was initially admitted to hospital for the first time  - and run through the night to complete it the following day, the anniversary of when she received her diagnosis.
Nick will run the whole route, which will be getting on for 80 miles, with one of Ella's godfathers Mike, and Carly will do the last 26.2 miles to complete a marathon and be there at the end. Others will be joining in along the way.
Please donate and help us raise money for the Haemophilia Society to help Ella and other people with rare bleeding disorders.
