CAFT “The Children’s Adventurer Farm Trust”

Is this years chosen charity & the team can’t wait to get raising some dosh for such a worthy cause.

We’ve known about the trust & the hard work Helen & the team put in for a number of years & have donated to friends that have been raising funds for them & we’ve always known we would make them our chosen charity one year.

Who are CAFT & what do they do?
They provide a variety of programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
The needs of the children visiting The Adventure Farm range from complex and severe physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments and terminal illnesses through to children who act as Carers for a family member, those dealing with bereavement and children who have been victims of abuse.

The Adventure Farm is a lifeline to children who are in desperate need. We pride ourselves in bringing a little light and fun into the lives of children who have known terrible hardships at such an early age.

Our Aim
We want to raise over £8000 as we would like to sponsor a holiday for 15 children.
It costs approximately £8,625 to bring a group of 15 children (£575 per child) to CAFT for a 5 day holiday.

How will we raise it?

We have lots planned & lots in the pipeline so keep your eyes peeled.

The first event will be a Car wash in March, we’ve previously raised over £1000 at our car washes & now we have a bigger car park & more prominent location I’m sure we can top that. We also have one planned for July.

We have runners entered in the manchester marathon, 10k & the manchester half marathon.

There’s 10 of the team signed up to ride the 60 mile from Manchester to Blackpool.

And last but not least, after a year off the famous window co rock n roll night will be back in summer. Best night of the year!! 

I’m sure they’ll be other events in-between these as and when they occur but for now I think that’ll do, I’m currently dusting off my saddle......wish us luck.
