Story

Why we are leveraging music to fundraise

Music has the power to speak to body, mind and spirt and to heal - whilst at the same time touching the pain and confusion at a visceral level. 18 months into Covid and no one has been exempt from some experience of grief, loss, despair, fear or sadness. NHS staff have worked courageously, relentlessly and without judgement treating everyone with the utmost care in order to save lives. Many will empathise with the exhaustion and pain of the pandemic -  but the hardest hit have been the key workers in our hospitals.

The concert Saturday31 July, 7.30pm via Zoom ID: 913 4595 1947 Passcode 210731

The Rainbow of Love 彩虹般的爱 fundraising concert will be a demonstration of thanks and will honour and support the NHS staff as they continue to work in very uncertain times. The rainbow is evocative of hope and love - and this is the stimulus for our concert. In the aftermath of the floods in Henan Province in China, we will also dedicate the music to all those affected there.

The final stage of lockdown easing in the UK is not happening as had been hoped. This means that many concert halls and events are still unable to operate at full capacity. This concert provides a vital performance space for musicians as well as enabling new music to complement the hope in the birdsong of the natural world in this 2021 summer season.

Times will be better and for now, we stand together. Please give generously.
