WellBoring is a small (but mighty!) volunteer-run charity which alleviates poverty and improves school attendance  by providing schools and their communities in developing countries with access to safe water.

We fund and organise the drilling of water boreholes and the installation of pumps, pipes and other supporting infrastructure in order to sustainably develop schools and their surrounding communities.

We focus on low-cost, high impact solutions which empower local communities (predominantly in Kenya) to maintain access to clean water. The benefits are clear - safe water reduces sickness, child mortality, and associated diseases. We also see that it improves school attendance and results, as families are able to send children  to school rather than to fetch water.

Each well costs £5,000 to drill and maintain, and will impact around 1,000 lives in the area.

We are hoping to get to 100 wells in 2020 -  we are just 3 wells away!
