Hey Supporters!

My name is Jess Weller I am a 28 year old Teacher who has been recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am a Kiwi living the London dream and have been in the UK since February this year.

It has been a nightmare to be on this side of the world on my OE and recieve such shocking devasting news. It has been a massive rollercoaster but all my family, friends and an amazing medical team are supporting me through and through.

I have thought about doing a half marathon in the past, so there is no better time than now. I need some people to join me as I would have started my chemotherapy treatment and will need a support crew to get me through. It is only walking! With more than 130 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Men also get breast cancer but it is rare – around 400 men every year are diagnosed. Cancer Research UK's work has helped ensure that more than 8 out of 10 women now survive their disease beyond five years. But around 11,600 women and 75 men still die from the disease each year in the UK.
