Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am indebted to Toby Sykes for giving me the inspiration and reason to do this. He is giving up his ponytail in the same week for Alzheimer's Society.

My friend Tracey was diagnosed with Amyloidosis last year. It is a rare disease with limited treatment and more research needed, which is why I have chosen to fundraise for them, and her.

I have had very long hair for nearly all of my 58 and a bit years and it is a good opportunity to donate the volumes I have to the Little Princess Trust, which I believe to be a very deserving cause. The LPT give away free real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses - as well as funding research into childhood cancers. I have loved my hair, I hope the little children will love it too when it becomes theirs.
