Gibside School, based in Whickham and Blaydon, is a dedicated to inspire, motivate and challenge children with special educational needs and disabilities.
It is an inclusive, happy and nurturing environment with education, equality and understanding at the heart of everything they do, where everyone is respected and valued for their contribution - pupils, staff parents/carers and multidisciplinary teams alike.
This is why we have chosen this remarkable school to benefit from our annual Charity Challenge fundraising event this year! We are hoping to raise £2000 for an interactive screen for one of their classrooms - a key piece of equipment.
Dentists, nurses, receptionists and a few friends are all attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge - climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 Hours:
Ben Nevis in Scotland - 1345m
Scafell Pike in England - 978m
Snowdon in Wales - 1085m
In total, 3064 vertical meters will be climbed with 23 miles (37km) of walking. Add to this the 462 miles of driving all of which have to be completed within 24 hours and you are left with a formidable challenge!!!
We hope you will help Gibside School by sponsoring Whickham Dental Practice in this years challenge.
