Fundraising for Mind
Story
Helping others is all part of being a scout and that is what The Sun Run is all about. Scouts from raptors troop have taken on the challenge for many years now raising a phenomenal amount for charities over the years.
This year, Wildcats are joining in, and have chosen to support MIND - the mental health charity. Over the last couple of years, scouts in the UK have helped to raise awareness of mental health issues through the million hands campaign, and we want to play our part.
The Sun Run is a 25km, run/hike/crawl through the night. Setting off at sunset from Wimpole Hall an intrepid band of scouts from 12th Cambridge, aged 10-14, will attempt to make it back to our HQ in Cambridge for sun rise the next morning. An extraordinary achievement for our scouts and that is why we are asking you to sponsor them.
