We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

As a team of teachers and support staff from the Wilnecote school we are taking on a challenge to complete a Wolf run. We have some who have done them before to others who aren't yet to run their first 5k.

As a team we will start together and finish together. Most importantly, we will have fun whilst we are doing it!

We picked Birmingham Children's Hospital becuase geographically we are fairly close but also, it's somewhere that some of our students have used and other may need to in the future. It seemed fitting that as a group of educators we would support a cause that looks after the same people we do.

The hospital have a great belief in doing more for their patients and the families and that's something we support. It's also a nice motivator to keep us going through all that mud!!!!

Here a little bit about what the hospital say:

At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
